The ESP Tubing Catcher is a retrievable positive-action tubing catcher designed to run below an ESP to catch the equipment if the tubing string parts.  The design includes drag blocks to allow the catcher to be run deeper than conventional drag spring catchers.  The catcher features a J-slot design that allows the catcher to be easily set and released without rotating the tubing.  A simple up and down movement is all that is required to cycle the catcher to the setting position after running in.  Ample stroke length allows plenty of tubing travel to account for tubing movement or when landing the wellhead to avoid inadvertently returning the catcher to the run in position.
