D&L earns two API certifications

Tulsa-Based D&L Oil Tools Earns 5CT and 7-1 API Monogramed Thread Licenses

TULSA, Okla. (August 3, 2020) – D&L Oil Tools, a company that provides downhole tools to both domestic and international oil exploration markets, is proud to announce its Quality Management System has earned two new API certifications. D&L Oil Tools is now licensed to provide monogrammed threads under 5CT and 7-1 specifications for API tubing, casing or drill pipe threads.

The scope of the certifications allows D&L to thread, in-house, API connections covered under each of the specifications.

The new certifications add to D&L Oil Tool’s previous API Q1 and 11D1 Monogram License for Packers and Bridge Plugs.

The certification process, which incorporates all employees and involves several on-site audits, verifies that the D&L facility and quality management system meet program requirements. As part of the certification process, licensees are required to maintain the capabilities, including the resources, processes and technology, to manufacture products which fall within the scope of licensing.

API is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of America’s oil and natural gas industry. API has led the development of petroleum and petrochemical equipment and operating standards for more than 85 years; many of which have been incorporated into state and federal regulations.
