The Titan Ball Valve provides a means for temporarily abandoning a well without tripping out a work string. The valve is made to run in conjunction with the Titan V3 Packer and Titan On/Off Tool. The Titan Ball Valve and Packer are designed to allow heavy loads to hang through them, allowing a work string to hang below during abandonment, even at severe temperatures and pressures.

The Titan Ball Valve is opened and closed by raising and lowering the work string. The full opening allows for higher rates of circulation without damaging the valve. The non-elastomeric ball seals are well suited to being opened under pressure.

Some unique features of this valve include a built-in compensating piston to keep the valve closed with pressure above or below and rotational locks on all internal connections to allow for extreme values of left-hand or right-hand torque to be transmitted through the packer. Peek backup rings on all o-rings provide maximum reliability at high temperature and pressure. Extra long top and bottom subs and wrench flats allow for ease of make-up and break-out using hydraulic torque machines.
